1.What we collect
When you register we collect your name and email address. As you use the platform we store your exam attempts, answers, scores and study statistics so that we can score your exams and show your progress.
We also keep standard technical logs - such as IP address and browser type - for security purposes.
2.How we use it
Your data is used to:
- operate your account and keep you signed in;
- score exams and show your results and progress;
- maintain leaderboards;
- improve question quality.
We do not sell personal data to third parties.
3.Minors
Many users of exam-preparation platforms are under 18. If you are a minor, ask a parent or guardian before creating an account.
Parents or guardians may request deletion of a minor's account at any time by contacting us at the address in section 6.
4.Security
Passwords are stored using modern password hashing (Argon2id) and traffic between your browser and SCALE is encrypted with TLS.
Sessions use HttpOnly cookies that are inaccessible to scripts running in the page.
5.Your rights
You may request a copy or deletion of your data at any time from Settings or by emailing support@scalebackend.net.
Deleting your account removes your personal data. Anonymised aggregate statistics (for example, leaderboard totals) may be retained.
