SCALE stands for Smart Curriculum, Assessment & Learning Engine. It is an exam-preparation platform for Pakistani students. You take full-length, timed mock exams for MDCAT, ECAT, NUMS, KMU-CAT, NUST NET, ETEA, CSS, PPSC, FPSC, PMS and the provincial commissions, get a server-scored result the moment you finish, and track your performance across attempts.
Yes - the Free plan never expires and includes 2 full-length mocks a week, 3 practice tests a day, explanations for every question, the leaderboard and subject analytics. Plus (PKR 299/month) and Pro (PKR 599/month) remove the caps and add topic analytics, custom practice sets and AI sets from your own notes. See the pricing page.
You need a free account to start an attempt so that your answers can be saved, your result recorded and your progress tracked. Creating one takes a minute - sign up here.
No. SCALE is an independent practice platform. Our mocks are written to match the style, timing and syllabus of exams like MDCAT, ECAT and NUMS, but we are not run by, endorsed by, or formally affiliated with any official examining body. Always confirm the real exam's rules, dates and syllabus with the official authority.
Each exam is server-scored the moment your time runs out or you submit. Correct answers add marks; unanswered questions score zero. Your final score, accuracy and breakdown by section are available immediately after the attempt.
Only where the real exam has it, and at the same rate. When an exam uses negative marking, a wrong answer deducts a fraction of a mark; the exact rule is shown on that exam's instructions page before you start. Exams without negative marking in their official pattern don't have it on SCALE either.
Some exams set an attempt limit (for example, three attempts per exam) to keep practice realistic and the leaderboard fair; the limit, if any, is shown on the exam detail page along with how many attempts you have used. Exams without a stated limit can be attempted as often as you like. Each attempt is timed and scored independently.
Your answers save automatically as you go, so a dropped connection or a browser refresh will not lose your work. If your time expires while you are disconnected, the attempt is scored as-is - unanswered questions score zero (or are subject to negative marking where the exam applies it). You can resume an in-progress attempt from your dashboard.
Your rank on a leaderboard is based on your best score for that exam within the selected time period. Only attempts you finish (submit or let expire) count, and your highest score is the one that places you. You can filter leaderboards by period to see how you stack up this week, this month, or overall. Appearing on the leaderboard requires an account - anonymous attempts are not ranked.
Yes. Once an attempt is scored you can open it from your results page to see each question, the answer you chose, the correct answer and - where the question carries one - an explanation so a wrong answer teaches you something.
Results are final except in the case of a demonstrable technical error, which we will correct with an audit trail. If you believe a question or score is wrong, email support@scalebackend.net with the exam title and attempt ID.

No. When paid plans launch, free practice will still be available - paid plans add to the platform, they do not remove what is already free. If that ever changes, we will say so clearly and well in advance.
